About Mammoth Cave
Mammoth Cave is one of the [Margaret River](/au/places/wa/margaret-river) region's premier show caves, containing fossil remains of megafauna including Zygomaturus trilobus (a giant marsupial) and Thylacoleo (the marsupial lion) dating back over 35,000 years. The cave features a self-guided audio tour through dramatic chambers of stalactites, stalagmites, and fossils, making it the most accessible cave in the region. The café and grounds above ground are surrounded by karri and marri forest.

Located on Caves Road between Margaret River and Augusta, approximately 26 km south of Margaret River. Sealed road.
