About Snowy River NP

Snowy River National Park protects one of Australia's most spectacular river gorges, where the Snowy River has carved a 200-metre deep canyon through limestone and sandstone mountains in far east Gippsland. The park features dramatic gorge lookouts, remote camping on river flats, and multi-day rafting and canoe expeditions. It is one of the most scenically dramatic parks in Victoria and inspired Banjo Paterson's famous poem The Man from Snowy River.
