Getting There

Mount Hotham is 370km northeast of Melbourne via the Hume Freeway (M31) to Wangaratta, then east on the Snow Road through Bright and Harrietville, or via Omeo from the south.

Visitor Tips

  • Stay mid-week for the best mountain experience at lower cost. In summer, cycle the Great Alpine Road from Harrietville to the summit — one of Australia's great cycling climbs. The Razorback Ridge walk to Mt Feathertop (22km return) is Victoria's finest alpine walk.
