History & Significance
Sea World opened in 1971 and is part of the Village Roadshow theme parks group on the Gold Coast. It pioneered marine-based attractions in Australia and has operated continuously as a major dolphin and marine animal exhibition venue. The park combines traditional marine animal encounters with modern theme park rides.
