About This Trail

December 2025: The City of Logan Council accepted the detailed design and adjusted cost of $15.5M for construction of the 11.5 km section from Logan Village to Bethania Station. However, due to funding constraints the Council plans to now proceed with a staged development of the 8.3km section from Logan Village to the outskirts of Bethania. The corridor has been cleared of vegetation, rails and sleepers in preparation. This trail will link to the existing Logan Village to Yarrabilba spur trail. Advocacy to extend the trail to Beaudesert is ongoing. The only section currently open is the 3.5 km from Logan Village Green to Yarrabilba, which extends through native bushland and links the Logan Village Green to Buxton Park via Blossom St in Yarrabilba. The 2.5m wide asphalt path is designed for walking, jogging and hiking. It is built on part of the de-commissioned Logan Village to Canungra spur line which is now a Logan City Council-managed road reserve. It crosses Waterford-Tamborine Rd at the intersection with Anzac Ave to provide a dedicated off-street connection along Logan St to the Village Green.
