About

Australia's largest theme park featuring thrill rides, wildlife experiences with tigers and koalas, and family-friendly attractions across multiple themed zones on the Gold Coast.

History & Significance

Dreamworld opened in 1981 as Australia's first major theme park on the Gold Coast. It has grown to become the country's largest theme park, originally developing from a wildlife park concept. The park has evolved with major ride additions and renovation of themed zones over four decades, becoming a significant Gold Coast tourism attraction.
