History & Significance

Yellow Water is one of Australia's most significant wetland systems and a major tourist attraction within Kakadu National Park. The viewing platform provides access to this culturally and ecologically important waterway, sacred to the Bininj/Mungguy people. The area is renowned for its abundance of wildlife, particularly birdlife and saltwater crocodiles.

Located in Kakadu National Park, NT. Nearest town is Jabiru (approximately 50km). Access via Kakadu Highway from Darwin (approximately 220km east). No public transport; private vehicle or tour required.
