About this campsite
This free campsite in Kosciuszko National Park's High Plains area offers unpowered tent and camper trailer sites with toilets and barbecue facilities, accessible by 2WD and pet friendly. The campground is centered around the historic Cooinbil Hut from the early 1900s and provides excellent access to activities including horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, walking, and birdwatching in the surrounding grassy woodlands and streams. Note that access roads close during winter (June to October long weekends) and a $6 booking fee applies, though there are no camping fees.
