About Walpole-Nornalup National Park

Walpole-Nornalup National Park protects some of Western Australia's most magnificent ancient forest, including towering red tingle trees (Eucalyptus jacksonii), karri, marri, and peppermint trees, as well as sheltered inlets, ocean beaches, and coastal heathlands. The park is home to the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk and encompasses the Walpole Wilderness Area — one of Australia's largest wilderness regions. Nornalup Inlet provides a beautiful waterway for canoeing and kayaking.

Getting There

3.5 hours south of Perth, 120 km west of Albany on South Western Highway. Walpole township is the base.

  • Combine Tree Top Walk with Ancient Empire boardwalk for full tingle forest experience
