About Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse

Cape Naturaliste is the northernmost point of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge, where a 19-metre-high historic lighthouse built in 1903 stands on a 100-metre granite bluff overlooking Geographe Bay and the Indian Ocean. It is an outstanding whale watching location from June to November as humpback and southern right whales migrate past, and the Cape to Cape Track begins here. The surrounding heathland blooms with wildflowers in spring.
