About The Grotto

The Grotto is a circular sinkhole and sea cave formation near Port Campbell where the sea rushes in through an underground tunnel beneath the cliff top. A spiral staircase descends to a viewing platform at the base of the sinkhole, offering dramatic views of crashing waves and the cave ceiling. It is a quieter alternative to the Twelve Apostles with similarly striking geology.
