Beauchamp Falls Day Visitor Area

Beech Forest, Victoria

About Beech Forest & the Otways

Beech Forest sits deep in the Otway Ranges, surrounded by cool temperate rainforest and some of Victoria's most impressive waterfall circuits. This is prime caravan and campground country, with excellent walk access to cascades, native forest, and towering mountain ash.

Walks & Trails

The Beauchamps Falls Walking Track is an easy 1km stroll to the falls themselves. For more distance, the Hopetoun Falls Walk offers a moderate hike through Great Otway National Park, while the Triplet Falls Loop and Little Aire Falls Walk deliver longer rainforest circuits. For something different, the Otway Fly Treetop Walk and Otway Fly Zipline Tour combine forest immersion with elevated perspectives.

Camping

The Beauchamp Falls Campground is on-site and ideal for families and tourers. For more options, Dandos Campingground and the free Stevensons Falls Campground are nearby, while larger caravan parks like Big4 Pisces Holiday Park and Apollo Bay Holiday Park sit closer to the coast at Apollo Bay.

Attractions & Things to See

Beauchamp Falls and Hopetoun Falls are the main drawcards, both accessible by short walks. Triplet Falls showcases three tiers of cascades, while the Californian Redwoods Otways and Maits Rest Rainforest Walk reveal the region's towering timber heritage. The Otway Fly Treetop Walk offers a canopy walkway through fern gullies.

Pubs & Dining

For food and drink, Apollo Bay Distillery offers bistro meals 18km away, while Forrest Brewery is a local stop 24km south. Otway Junction Motor Inn provides accommodation and meals, and Gellibrand River Hotel is a traditional pub option nearby.

Golf

Apollo Bay Golf Club is the closest course at 18km, with ocean views and challenging greens suited to a touring stop.
