About Californian Redwoods Otways

The Californian Redwood plantation near Beech Forest in the Otways is a grove of Coast Redwood trees (Sequoia sempervirens) planted in the 1930s that now tower more than 40 metres above a carpet of ferns and leaf litter. Walking among these giants feels otherworldly β€” the cathedral-like canopy, filtered light, and silence create a unique atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Victoria. The trees are not native but have become a beloved tourist attraction.
