About The Balconies
The Balconies, formerly known as the Jaws of Death, is a striking sandstone rock formation in the northern Grampians that extends over a steep cliff edge like a natural balcony or set of overhanging jaws. The walk to the formation passes through open eucalypt woodland with panoramic views over the Victoria Valley. It is one of the most photographed geological features in the Grampians.

Getting There
From Halls Gap drive north through Brambuk then to Wartook Valley Road. Turn onto Roses Gap Road to Troopers Creek Car Park. Approximately 35km from Halls Gap.
Visitor Tips
- •The track is 5.2km return with moderate elevation gain. Go early to have the formation to yourself. The Victoria Valley views from the ridgeline before reaching the balconies are also excellent.
