The Pinnacle is the most popular lookout in the Grampians, offering a panoramic 360-degree view across the Fyans Valley, Lake Bellfield, and the surrounding sandstone ranges from an elevation of approximately 1000m. It is reached via the Wonderland Loop walk which passes through the spectacular Grand Canyon rock formation. The view at sunrise and sunset is considered among the finest in Victoria.

Getting There

Start from Sundial Car Park or Wonderland Car Park in Halls Gap. The Pinnacle is 4.6km return from Sundial via the Pinnacle Track, or part of the 9.3km Wonderland Loop.

Visitor Tips

  • For sunrise, begin the walk at first light from Sundial Car Park. Bring a head torch for the pre-dawn approach. The Grand Canyon section is best in the morning before other hikers arrive.
