History & Significance

Uluru is a sacred site of profound cultural and spiritual significance to the Anangu people, the traditional owners. The rock has been a landmark for tens of thousands of years. Designated viewing areas like this coach stop were established to manage visitor access while respecting Indigenous protocols and protecting the natural site.

Located near Ayers Rock Resort, approximately 5 km from Uluru. Access via Lasseter Highway from the town of Yulara (nearest accommodation and services). No public transport available — self-drive or tour operator required.

Coach and carpark facilities available. Free parking. Limited capacity during peak sunset times; arrive early or visit during shoulder season. Accessible parking available for visitors with mobility requirements.
