History & Significance
Established in 1973 as a dedicated facility for rescuing, treating and caring for injured, orphaned and sick koalas. The hospital has become a leading centre for koala care and research on the mid-north coast. It provides an important service for local wildlife rehabilitation.

Located in Port Macquarie, NSW on Lord Street. From Sydney, take Pacific Highway north (~4 hours). From Newcastle, take Hunter Expressway south then coast route (~2.5 hours). Town centre is walkable.
