• Timing your visit: March and April, during harvest and vintage, is the most active and atmospheric time to visit. May through September offers cooler, quieter conditions well-suited to an unhurried afternoon of tasting. Summer visits (December to February) are best tackled in the morning before the heat builds.
• Make a day of it: Yangarra works well as part of a broader McLaren Vale cellar door run — many other producers are within 15 to 20 minutes' drive.
