Symphony Hill's range centres on three varieties: shiraz, viognier, and merlot. The Granite Belt's altitude — the region sits above 800 metres — produces a growing season markedly cooler than most of Queensland, which translates to wines with structure and defined varietal character. Shiraz from this region typically shows more restrained fruit and firmer tannins than warmer-climate examples, while viognier can express the floral and stone-fruit notes the variety is known for without becoming heavy.

Symphony Hill is located in Ballandean, roughly 20 minutes by car from Stanthorpe. The road is sealed and accessible for caravans, making it a practical stop if you're touring the Granite Belt by road. Stanthorpe is the main service town for the region and a natural base for a longer stay.
