Whispering Brook

Whispering Brook is a winery located in Broke, a small village sitting in the Hunter Valley wine region of New South Wales, roughly 25 kilometres north of Cessnock.

Broke occupies a quieter corner of the Hunter Valley, away from some of the busier cellar door clusters found closer to Pokolbin. For visitors who enjoy exploring the broader Hunter Valley beyond its most trafficked areas, the village makes for a worthwhile detour.

Getting There

Whispering Brook is found on Rodd Street in Broke. The drive from Cessnock takes you north through the valley, and access is via sealed roads suitable for cars, caravans, and campervans. If you're travelling from Sydney, Cessnock is the usual gateway to this part of the Hunter, sitting roughly two hours from the city.

Public transport options to Broke are limited, as is typical for rural wine country in NSW, so having your own vehicle is the practical way to visit.
