Glenbrook marks the gateway to the Blue Mountains, offering direct access to the Nepean River valley and the ranges beyond. The area combines accessible bushwalking with heritage attractions and excellent camping facilities, making it a natural base for exploring western Sydney's natural attractions.

Walks & Trails

Glenbrook has excellent trail options for all fitness levels. Start with Lapstone Zig-Zag Walking Track or Flower Hill Track for moderate walks. More ambitious walkers can tackle Blue Pool Walking Track, a moderate 2km walk featuring a natural swimming hole. Local lanes including Hillbar Lane, Oval Lane, and Park Road offer quieter walking options within town, while The Descent and Tramway Route connect to wider regional walking networks.

Camping

Several campgrounds operate within 7km of town. Euroka Campground and Nioka Campsite cater to caravans and camper trailers, while bush camping is available at Darug Camp Area, Bennetts Ridge Campsite, Apple Tree Flat Campsite, and Redgum Campsite. Ingenia Holidays Nepean River offers caravan park facilities 7km away.

Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve showcases local flora in the town centre.
