About Yanchep National Park and Crystal Cave

Yanchep National Park is located 51 km north of Perth and is a popular day trip destination combining a karst cave system, a large freshwater lake (Loch McNess), a koala sanctuary, and coastal banksia and tuart woodland. Crystal Cave is the main show cave, accessed by guided tour, featuring beautiful stalactites, flowstones, and crystal formations in chambers with excellent acoustics. The park also has an extensive network of walking trails and picnic areas.

Visitor Tips

  • Book Crystal Cave tour in advance on weekends — numbers limited
  • The McNess House and lake area are excellent for a picnic after the cave tour
  • Walking trail to Two Rocks coastal scenery is beautiful in spring
  • Combine with the nearby Neerabup National Park or Pinnacles Desert (100 km further north)
