About Stirling Range National Park / Bluff Knoll

The Stirling Range is Western Australia's only mountain range and rises dramatically from flat wheatbelt plains to reach 1,098 metres at Bluff Knoll — the third-highest peak in WA and the highest in the Southwest. The range is a biodiversity hotspot, harbouring over 1,500 plant species including 87 endemic species, remarkable in a range only 65 km long and 10 km wide. Cloud caps frequently drape the summits, creating a moody and dramatic landscape, and snow occasionally falls in winter.
