About Fitzgerald River National Park

Fitzgerald River National Park is one of the world's most significant botanical regions, listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and protects the richest floral diversity of any Australian national park — over 1,800 plant species, including 75 found nowhere else on Earth. The park also features spectacular rugged coastline, historic Point Ann (a former whaling station and now excellent whale-watching point), and important populations of rare birds including the ground parrot and western whipbird. Spring wildflower displays are extraordinary.
