About Tarra-Bulga NP

Tarra-Bulga National Park protects two remnant patches of cool temperate rainforest in the Strzelecki Ranges, among the last significant stands of such forest in Gippsland after extensive 19th century logging. The park features enormous mountain ash, myrtle beech, and blackwood trees, dense tree fern gullies, a suspension bridge walk, and excellent lyrebird habitat. It is a quiet and undervisited gem within a few hours of Melbourne.
