History & Significance

Twin Falls is located within Kakadu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Top End of Australia. The falls are part of the Arnhem Land escarpment system, which has been significant to Aboriginal peoples for tens of thousands of years. The park was officially established in 1979 and Twin Falls became a key tourist destination due to its accessibility compared to nearby Jim Jim Falls.
