History & Significance

Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) is a sacred Indigenous site of profound spiritual significance to the Anangu people. The 36 conglomerate rock domes rise dramatically from the desert floor. The viewing area was established to provide visitor access while respecting cultural protocols and protecting the landscape.
