About the Woodland Walk
The Woodland Walk is a 2 kilometre loop trail in the ACT, rated easy and taking around 1 hour to complete. Categorised as a nature walk, the route is noted for wildlife sightings, forest surrounds and a summit point along the way. The track is not dog friendly and is not suitable for wheelchairs, bikes or strollers, so walkers should plan to travel on foot. The short distance and easy grading make it a suitable option for casual walkers and families with older children who can manage a 60 minute outing. The trailhead is close to central Canberra attractions, with the Captain Cook Memorial Jet about 1.2 kilometres away, ANZAC Parade roughly 1.4 kilometres distant and Mount Ainslie around 2.9 kilometres from the start, making it easy to combine the walk with other sightseeing in the capital. In a life threatening emergency, dial Triple Zero (000).
