History & Significance
Darwin River Dam was constructed in the 1950s to supply water to the Darwin region. The lookout provides views across the dam wall and surrounding landscape, popular with photographers capturing the Northern Territory's natural scenery.

Getting There
Located approximately 15 km south of Darwin city centre. Access via Stuart Highway then turn-off to dam viewing area. Well-signposted from main highway.
Parking
Free parking available at the lookout area. Limited spaces, but overflow parking possible along access road. Accessible parking bays provided.
