About this campsite
The Diggings is a free campground with 20 sites on the Turon River in Turon National Park, offering tent, camper trailer, and vehicle camping options with toilets, unpowered sites, and barbecue facilities. Located on grassy riverbank flats lined with she-oak, it's ideal for trout fishing, canoeing, bushwalking, and mountain biking, with a $6 booking fee applying. Note that the access road can become boggy after heavy rain and the site is pet friendly, though you'll need to bring your own firewood and the nearest general store is in Capertee.
