About Tantanoola Caves Conservation Park
A single large limestone cave chamber with impressive stalactites, stalagmites, shawls, and cave coral formations, located near the small town of Tantanoola between Mount Gambier and Millicent. The cave was formed in marine limestone deposited 20 million years ago and is noted for the variety and delicacy of its speleothems. Access is by guided tour only and the cave is maintained in excellent condition.
