Getting There

Located 25 km north of Theodore on the Leichhardt Highway in central Queensland. Theodore is 410 km north-west of Brisbane.

Parking

Free car park available at the main gorge entrance. Limited capacity typical of regional parks; arrive early during weekends. Unsealed access road suitable for standard vehicles in dry conditions but may become impassable after heavy rain. No accessible vehicle facilities noted.

Visitor Tips

  • The Gorge Lookout is the highlight and is reached via a short steep walk. Combine with Carnarvon Gorge (180 km south-west) for a central Queensland gorge road trip. Carry all water as there are no facilities beyond toilets.
