History & Significance
Bouddi National Park protects a significant stretch of Central Coast coastline and contains important Aboriginal heritage, including middens and rock engravings that evidence thousands of years of indigenous occupation. The park was gazetted to preserve its dramatic coastal landscapes, native vegetation, and cultural sites. The name 'Bouddi' derives from the Darkinjung Aboriginal word for a curve or bend in the coastline.
