About Hopetoun Falls

Hopetoun Falls is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Victoria, where the Aire River drops 30 metres over a wide basalt shelf into a circular plunge pool ringed by giant tree ferns and rainforest. The viewpoint platform directly in front of the falls creates an immersive curtain-of-water experience. The falls are set within dense Otway rainforest making them visually stunning year-round.
