Getting to Wentworth Falls

Located in Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains NSW, about 90 km west of Sydney. Access via the Great Western Highway. Regular train services from Sydney to Wentworth Falls Station (approx 2 hours), then short walk to falls. Ample parking available at the visitor precinct.

History of Wentworth Falls

Wentworth Falls is named after William Charles Wentworth, an early European explorer of the Blue Mountains. The waterfall and surrounding area have been a significant landmark and visitor destination since the 19th century. The falls cascade approximately 220 metres and are part of the scenic Blue Mountains landscape.

Tips for visiting Wentworth Falls

Start early to avoid crowds, especially on weekends
Wear proper walking shoes – paths can be slippery near the falls
Bring water and sun protection – limited shade on main viewing areas
Best views are from the main lookout platform
