About Gluepot & the Murray Mallee
Gluepot Reserve protects a rare slice of mallee woodland in South Australia's inland Murray region. This semi-arid landscape supports diverse native bird species and offers travellers a network of walking trails through authentic Australian bushland, from gentle strolls to more challenging hikes.

The reserve features 12 marked walks ranging from easy to moderate difficulty. Start with Walk 11 Botanic Walk directly from the visitor centre, or explore nearby options like Walk 10 Airstrip Walk, Walk 12 Whistler Walk, and Walk 4 Oil Line Walk. For longer hikes, try Walk 5 Babbler South Walk, Walk 6 Big Sand Dune, or Walk 1 Mallee Fowl Walk. Bring binoculars for birdwatching throughout the reserve.
