About This Trail

The Warburton Rail Trail (39km) is one of Australia's most popular, with an excellent surface and an impressive backdrop of mountains in Yarra Ranges National Park. The Yarra Valley Trail (9km) is gradually heading north Warburton Rail Trail (39km): Travels gently from Lilydale to Warburton through mixed farming country along a high-standard shared path that welcomes horses Yarra Valley Trail (8.5km): Currently open to just north of Yering but could eventually extend another 35km, first north to Yarra Glen across the Yarra River floodplain and then west to Healesville Most of the original platforms on the Warburton Line, featuring replica station signs, remain but most station buildings do not. While some of the busy road crossings have treatments to assist trail users, there are still some requiring care and patience.
