About This Trail
A scenic rail trail in north-east Tasmania over 26km connecting Scottsdale, Tonganah and Tullendeena. There's a planned extension to Lilydale. There are no food services along the trail nor at the Billycock Hill (Tullendeena) point. From Billycock Hill, the next township offering food services is Branxholm which is approximately 7 km along the Tasman Highway. The Tonganah to Tullendeena section has dense forest and numerous tree ferns (David Brice 2019) The scenery when not in a cutting while climbing up to 'The BIllycock' at Tullendeena. (2017
