Rams Head North

Located in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW. Nearest major town is Cooma (approximately 60km away). Access via Kosciuszko National Park; high-clearance vehicle recommended for some approach roads. No public transport available.

Wear sturdy hiking boots and bring plenty of water—there are no facilities on the mountain
Check weather conditions before attempting the ascent; weather changes rapidly at this elevation
Bring sun protection and a warm layer even in summer; it's significantly cooler at 2178m
Allow 3-4 hours for a full ascent and descent depending on fitness level
