About this campsite
This quiet camping area sits along the banks of Whistling Duck Creek in Diamantina National Park, where you can pitch your tent under shady coolabah and bauhinia trees beside a semi-permanent waterhole. Facilities include non-flush toilets, campfires (conditions apply), and access to canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, with excellent opportunities for birdwatching at dawn and dusk. The site is accessible by high clearance 4WD only and is temporarily closed from 1 January to 31 March 2026 due to severe weather impacts.
