Consuelo camping zone is a walk-in tent campsite located on the Consuelo Tableland at over 1000m above sea level along the Carnarvon Great Walk in central Queensland's Sandstone Wilderness. The open grassy camping area is dotted with cycads and eucalypts, offering opportunities to spot wildlife including eastern grey kangaroos, koalas, yellow-bellied gliders and over 170 bird species. Advance booking is required to stay at this remote walkers' camp, which is 17.3km from West Branch walkers' camp.
