About this campsite

Cabbage Tree camping zone is a walk-in only campsite located on the Carnarvon Great Walk at 1000m elevation on the edge of the Consuelo Tableland in central Queensland's Carnarvon National Park. The tent camping area sits in an open grassy setting surrounded by giant cycads and towering eucalypts, with fallen logs scattered around for resting and taking in views of towering sandstone cliffs and sweeping tablelands. A camping permit is required to stay at this remote overnight stop, which is one of five walkers' camps along the Great Walk.
