About this campsite

Tom Groggin campground sits on the banks of the upper Murray River in southern Kosciuszko National Park between Khancoban and Thredbo, offering tent, camper trailer, and caravan sites with toilets, unpowered sites, barbecue facilities, and picnic tables. The campground is an ideal base for fishing, bushwalking, mountain biking, and 4WDing, with the iconic Bicentennial National Trail and nearby lookouts at Scammells and Olsens accessible from the site. There are no camping fees (though a $6 booking fee applies), a maximum 14-day stay limit, and you should note that the road between Thredbo and Khancoban is not recommended for vehicles towing large caravans.
