About this campsite
Mirang Pool is a remote picnic area in Heathcote National Park, located about 45 minutes from Sydney, accessible via a 2km walk from Oliver Street or 45 minutes from Heathcote train station. There are no facilities available including toilets, drinking water, rubbish bins or picnic tables, so you'll need to bring everything in and out with you, and swimming should be done cautiously as there are submerged logs and branches in the waterhole. The site features a secluded swimming spot surrounded by sandy patches, rock platforms, gymea lillies and trees, with nearby Battery Causeway picnic area just over a kilometre away.
