This free campsite in Vittoria State Forest sits halfway between Bathurst and Orange and features camping and picnic areas with toilets and pet-friendly facilities accessible by 2WD vehicle. Macquarie Woods offers walking tracks, a lookout with views across the Macquarie Valley, and a disc golf course, set within 600 hectares of both exotic conifer plantations and native woodland. The site includes an information shelter and is easily accessed from the Mitchell Highway.
