About MacKenzie Falls
MacKenzie Falls is the largest volume waterfall in Victoria, located in the southern section of Grampians National Park. The falls plunge over a wide sandstone shelf into a deep gorge pool, and can be viewed from a clifftop lookout above or reached via a steep 1.5km walk to the base. After winter rains the falls run at their most spectacular, thundering over the rock face.

Getting There
From Halls Gap, drive south on Grampians Road then turn onto MacKenzie Falls Road. The car park is approximately 22km from Halls Gap. Follow signs from Zumsteins.
Visitor Tips
- •Visit in the morning before the bus tour groups arrive. The clifftop platform gives an excellent elevated view of the full drop; the base walk is worth the effort for the spray and scale. Combine with a visit to Zumsteins picnic area where kangaroos congregate.
