History & Significance
The Orroral Valley Space Tracking Station was established in the 1960s to support Australia's space program and international satellite tracking operations. It operated as a critical communications facility during the height of the Space Age. The station was decommissioned and now exists as ruins, representing Australia's involvement in early space exploration.

Located in the Orroral Valley near Canberra, ACT (not NSW as stated). Access via Namadgi National Park. Approximately 40 km southwest of Canberra city centre. High-clearance vehicle recommended for final access roads. No public transport available.
