About this campsite
This remote campsite in Namadgi National Park sits near the former space tracking station site and offers unpowered sites with basic facilities including outdoor drop toilets, wood fire places, gas barbecues, and covered picnic tables. The location at the end of Apollo Road provides excellent access to bushwalking trails, including the Booroomba Rocks walking track and the Australian Alps Walking Track, with abundant native wildlife viewing opportunities throughout the park's 106,095 hectares. The site is well-suited to larger groups and families, with sealed road access suitable for 2WD vehicles and a nearby visitor centre open weekdays 9am–4pm and weekends 9am–4:30pm.
