History & Significance

Mount Jagungal is a prominent peak in the Snowy Mountains range and holds significance in Australian alpine geography. The mountain features in early European exploration records of the high country. It remains a popular but less-crowded alternative to Mount Kosciuszko for experienced bushwalkers.
