Wayno Briggs

Long-haul driver, B-double veteran. Has done every major highway in Australia at least twice.

Wayno has been behind the wheel of a B-double for twenty-two years and a road train for the last eight. He has done the Stuart Highway more times than he can count, the Newell in his sleep, and the Barrier in conditions that would make a desk jockey cry.

He knows which rest areas actually have shade, which servos have decent pies (and which ones should be reported to health authorities), and which weigh stations the inspectors actually staff. His opinions about fuel prices are strong and frequently unprintable.

Wayno is direct. He does not use three words where one will do. If he says a rest stop is good, park there. If he says the road is rough, slow down.
